Resident Assistant

Ranch Hands Rescue

“Ranch Hands Rescue is an animal sanctuary and a counseling center founded on hope and healing made available to all regardless of ability to pay.”

At Ranch Hands Rescue, we reach out with helping hearts to change our world by recognizing the inherent worth of every living being in our community. Working with our animal partners and Licensed Professionals, we help each child, each adult, and each family experience transformative change available through trauma-informed animal assisted psychotherapy.

We believe that victims, especially children, are innocent, and it’s our moral obligation to help provide them with a way to heal from the terrible traumas they have faced.

Our team focuses on the worst of the worst cases of abuse and neglect. We rescue the animals that others have given up on, and we treat the 1-10% of people who have been unsuccessful in other forms of therapy. We utilize Equine and Animal Assisted Counseling, EMDR, TBRI, DBT, Play Therapy, and other treatment modalities to help severely traumatized populations heal.

The ideal candidate to join our team is one who is interested in joining a workplace culture that encourages self-care, passion for best practices, continuous learning, and mutual support. We strive to provide the best possible care for our animals and clients, and we believe that starts with hiring the best and inspiring them to be their best.
